Renewable Wind Energy
Renewable wind energy has been developing for a relatively long time. We are used to seeing the traditional wind turbines swirling around generating electricity, but the new Wind Turbines changes that outlook.
What is great about this turbines and how is it better than its predecessor?
The biggest advantage is the space it occupies or rather the lack of it required. This vertical axis wind turbine does not need to be placed in an area with a lot of room to rotate. You can easily place this renewable wind energy on the roof of your home. The most awe-inspiring factor is that this new wind turbine can generate electricity from wind blowing from any side, there is a wide variety of renewable wind energy products for your home, business and daily use electronics.
Also, wind turbines creates no noise and is one of the cleanest energy now a days. The magnetic levitation that renewable wind energy uses gets rid of all the vibration, the reason being that the central hub floats on a magnet compared to rotating in a fixed position in the conventional method. So the turbine is practically muted.
This turbine increases productivity on certain shaped roofs as well. A roof on a 30% angle and with a 10 foot vertical rise will be able to generate a 200% boost in the quantity of renewable wind energy that is available to be converted into electricity.
Wind turbine is one of the few products that’s economical, unique and beneficial for our planet. It provides us with clean renewable energy without loosing out on anything.
Renewable Wind Energy Summary
There is a constant need to look out for alternative sources of energy as the non renewable sources are fast getting depleted. As a result the search for renewable wind energy has to be done at the earliest. Among the various alternatives available wind power is one of the cheapest sources.
Wind Energy
Harnessing renewable wind energy is the best method to use it for production of electricity as it can solve the electricity problems. With the free availability of renewable wind energy it makes perfect sense to use this to the fullest advantage. In areas where lot of windy days are a common feature then it can surely be a success. In other areas this method can reduce the electricity bills substantially. The most important advantage of renewable wind energy is that it is available freely and is present almost everywhere. The wind is used to turn the blades of the turbine which produce energy. Renewable energy can be stored in battery cells or connected through wires to the main power connection. In this way renewable wind energy can be produced and money can be saved on the electricity bill.
Advantages of Renewable Wind Energy
The numerous benefits that renewable wind energy offers are as follows:
1) Clean fuel source: Wind energy is the cleanest source of fuel and does not emit pollutants in the air thus making it eco friendly and does not result in greenhouse effect and acid rain.
2) Abundant supply: It is widely abundant and can be used without any problem at all.
3) Renewable source: It is a renewable source and can’t get depleted. Like other sources. Thus as long there is earth and sun we will get renewable wind energy.
4) Cheap: It is one of the cheapest sources as the energy produced for every kilowatt hour is only five to six cents provided the installation is done properly.
5) Maintenance: The maintenance required is also very less so it is virtually maintenance free.
Disadvantages of wind renewable energy
There are various disadvantages of wind renewable energy which are listed below:
1) Cost benefit analysis: Although the long term benefits’ regarding cost is there but the initial installation can be a deterrent.
2) Not all winds can be harnessed to produce electricity.
3) Good wind sites are mostly located in rural areas whereas the electricity requirement of urban areas is more. This increases the cost of electricity transfer.
4) Noise pollution: The blades of the turbine cause a lot of noise and are a matter of concern.
5) Danger to birds: The blades of the turbine are very large and can be a threat for birds.
Thus after weighing both the pros and cons of renewable wind energy we can easily conclude that its benefits overpower its limitations and hence we should try to harness it fully. If we will switch to renewable sources on time only then we will be able to have a bright future.
